Giving and getting feedback on both language and skills tasks is a crucial phase of any language lesson. In Feedback Fiesta we'll look at different ways of ensuring learners are motivated and receive meaningful feedback - through the use of games, planned error correction and the feedback PERM. Come and join us and make your feedback phases a fiesta, not a siesta! The workshop will be held on: Friday 10th February at 17.30 GMT Monday 13th February at 17.30 GMT To sign up click on the time and date you wish to attend and follow the instructions. The workshop will be led by Neil McMahon, IHWO Coordinator for Resources and a teacher trainer at IH Buenos Aires Teacher Training. Tech needed to attend: A reliable internet connection free of background noise and a mic/headphones headset. Headphones are imperative to avoid feedback for your fellow participants. ![]() International House (IH) is one of the largest language school networks, teaching 25 languages in over 145 schools in more than 50 countries worldwide. IH Certificate in Advanced Methodology: Course objectivesTo develop teachers' theoretical knowledge of teaching and so make them more informed practitioners. To develop teachers' practical teaching ability and develop their self-analytical skills to make them more reflective practitioners. (If pre-Diploma sessions are followed) To raise teachers' awareness of what they can expect from a Diploma level course and explicitly prepare them to take one. Course contentThe IH CAM course is divided into modules comprising of 25 sessions of which 20 are compulsory. The sessions cover all areas of teaching from theories of language learning, language learners, skills and systems. Mode of assessmentThe certificate is awarded to teachers who have followed and contributed to the CAM course programme and satisfactorily completed the assessed portfolio (a collection of homework tasks and a final assignment). There is no grading of coursework but participants should fulfil the assessment criteria. Is this course for you?We expect you are:

LocationThe course is run online and requires regular / daily access to the Internet with a good connection. TutorsThe course is run by qualified online tutors who will guide trainees through the online sessions and assess the portfolio. However an experienced DOS Is needed to observe the candidate at some point during the course. Time commitmentThe course consists of 30 hours of input and a minimum of 30 hours of homework and reading tasks and this is spread over a six-month period.
